Teen back answers Cops for DUI Case
Recently a teenager was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. However, the teenager retorted by back answering the cops and threatening to “have their badges”.

17 year old Austin Tobin of Quincy was driving under the influence of drugs and was being watched by undercover drug unit detectives on Saturday night. Tobin apparently moved out of a parking lot at the speed of 40mph and crossed an artery at more than 50mph, while the detectives followed in an unmarked cruiser.

The car was pulled over near his home and according to the police report, Tobin was reportedly very hostile when questioned and said “Do you know who the () I am?”

Tobin is the grandson of the clerk magistrate of Quincy District Court and the son of assistant clerk magistrate. Upon being arrested, the teenager struggled with the detectives as they tried to handcuff him, and he also hit one detective in the face with his elbow and knocked another officer to the ground. The officer was taken to the Quincy Medical Center for injury to the ribcage.

Tobin also told the cops that “This is Quincy, nothing happens to me.” He was later charged with driving under the influence of marijuana, speeding and 2 counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

With such attitudes, teenagers are extremely vulnerable to meeting with accidents when on the road and causing damage or death not only to themselves but also to others in the vicinity. Defensive driving courses are extremely important for teenagers.
