Mother turned in by girl for Drink Driving

A woman’s 9 year old daughter turned her in recently for drunk driving. She has since checked into a rehab. Latanya Evans, a 49 year old woman was nearly in tears as she waited for a judge to pass her sentence after her latest drunk driving charge. Last week, Evan was reportedly driving on 12 Mile Road with a revoked license. Her blood alcohol levels were 0.25, which is three time above the legal limit. Her 9 year old daughter however, took matters into her hands and bravely passed a note to a bank teller at the Bank of America, asking for help. The little girl write a hastily scrawled note that said that her mother id drunk and to help her. The girl was undeniably smart and that action of hers speaks volumes of the type of parenting she is subjected to at home. The older daughter however, has come to the defense of her mother saying that she just made a mistake. Georgia man Ordered to Preach about Distracted Driving

A man from Dalton has recently been ordered to visit 4 North Georgia high schools and talk to the students about the dangers that distracted driving can cause. The man is currently facing charges for vehicular homicide. 65 year old Jerry Ray deal has recently pleaded guilty for 2 counts of second degree homicide by vehicle. This case follows the tragic deaths of 33 year old Jason William Vick and 7 year old Billy Martin of Ellijay. Apparently, it was reported that Deal was distracted by his cell phone when driving. Distracted driving can cause a lot of damage and injuries and in most cases death. It is very important for people to participate in defensive driving trainings in order to avoid these accidents. Jerry Ray Deal could have avoided it if only he had gone for classes.

Teen back answers Cops for DUI Case

Recently a teenager was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. However, the teenager retorted by back answering the cops and threatening to “have their badges”. 17 year old Austin Tobin of Quincy was driving under the influence of drugs and was being watched by undercover drug unit detectives on Saturday night. Tobin apparently moved out of a parking lot at the speed of 40mph and crossed an artery at more than 50mph, while the detectives followed in an unmarked cruiser. The car was pulled over near his home and according to the police report, Tobin was reportedly very hostile when questioned and said “Do you know who the () I am?” Tobin is the grandson of the clerk magistrate of Quincy District Court and the son of assistant clerk magistrate. Upon being arrested, the teenager struggled with the detectives as they tried to handcuff him, and he also hit one detective in the face with his elbow and knocked another officer to the ground. Ever heard of the Bloom School of Driving Dynamix? This Ohio school was first founded by Mark Bloom who is also a former race car driver and a longtime safety driving enthusiast. The school introduces teenagers to the rules of the road with the help of movies, workbooks and parking lot maneuvers. The Bloom school trains licensed drivers to receive a crash course on how to handle a vehicle when something goes wrong on the road. The curriculum includes a wide range of topics right from skidding to swerving and emergency lane changing. Elderly Woman Killed while driving the Wrong Way on busy Highway

An elderly woman was killed this week after officials released a statement saying that she was driving the wrong way on the busy I-40 highway. She collided head on into another vehicle. The crash took place early Thursday morning at a mile marker near US 64 in Mocksville. 76 year old Barabara Frates Topa has allegedly exit ramp traveling eastward on Westbound I-40. Topa then went on to collide with a Toyota Camry and caused another accident that involved a Lexus. Topa died on the spot. The owner of the Toyota Camry was hospitalized with a serious injuri but is reportedly in a stable condition. The driver in the Lexus was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. This could have prevented has the woman attended defensive driving courses for senior citizens.

Serial Drunk Driver faces 20 years Prison Sentence

A serial drunk driver faces 2 consecutive ten year prison terms after being arrested twice recently. 54 year old Jack Mizer has pleaded guilty to 2 cases that involve 4 counts of felony of driving under the influence of alcohol. These last 2 arrests were Mizer’s 8th and 9th DUI convictions in the last 20 years. Prosecutors have termed Mizer as one of the biggest threats to public safety within Maricopa County and have denounced his insistence to continuously drive while drinking. Such repeat offenders are one of the biggest menaces to society and because of this; Mizer will be spending most of his life in jail. The state has also claimed that they will prosecute anyone else just as aggressively is they trifle with the law and disregard the safety of the citizens by drinking and driving.

FBI Agent Identified in Fatal Drunk Driving Accident

Recently, law enforcement officials have positively identified Adrian Norbell Johnson, the 37 year old FBI agent involved in the fatal car crash that took place in Brandywine, MD on Monday night. The FBI has released a statement saying that the agent has been working with the bureau for six years now. Also, his latest assignment for the FBI was to visit the FBI field office in Newark, New Jersey.
